Apart from the Shanghai sprint, led from start to finish after starting from first place, Lewis Hamilton has most often been in difficulty in the Ferrari since his arrival in the team. He only preceded Charles Leclerc once in qualifying, again in China, and never in the race.
In the wake of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the seven -time world champion struggled to see positive signals and recognized being “lent”. With more perspective, he finally sees similarities in the adaptation process he lives in Ferrari and the one he knew at Mercedes in 2013, before stacking titles and victories in the following years.
“When I joined Mercedes, the first six months were difficult to get used to working with new people”Hamilton recalled at a press conference in Miami. “Obviously, the engineers I work with now are used to paying the car for a different pilot, with different piloting, and I am used to driving a car with different piloting. This is a lot of things.”
Faced with emerging criticism, Frédéric Vasseur is shown at the niche to recall the need to give Hamilton time. English does not seek to convince those who doubt him, and says he does not even worry about the comments.
“I just don’t think about it. I try not to really focus on the opinions of people who have no information on what is really going on, opinions from people who have never been in my situation. I remain focused and I try to appreciate work with the people around me.”

Should we wait for a rebound this weekend at the Miami Grand Prix? Honest, Lewis Hamilton did not “No idea”in a Ferrari which only evolves visually, with a special livery, and will remain in the same configuration as in Djeddah, where Leclerc took third place.
“We will do our best. We don’t have new things or anything this weekend, but we will continue to try to optimize the car. Obviously, Charles has done fantastic work in the last race and showed what the car is capable of racing, so the goal is to try to reproduce this.”
