The weekend was marked by many road accidents in Luxembourg. After a collision between three cars on the A6 that caused the death of a person and having injured five others, followed by other accidents on Saturday evening, Sunday was not less active.
Seven people were injured in multiple accidents on the A13 between this morning and this morning. Then, during the day, eight other people suffered injuries during five separate accidents.
An air rescue helicopter mobilized
During one of them, in Beyren (commune of Flaxweiler), a car collided with a motorcycle around 2 p.m. An Air Rescue Helicopter of the SAMU intervened on the scene, as well as the Fire and Rescue Center (CIS) in Flaxweiler and an ambulance of the Cis de Mertert. The precise state of health of the victim was not communicated.
Later in the afternoon, another accident having taken place shortly after 4 p.m. wounded on the CR169 between Pontpierre and Foetz (commune of Mondrcange). Three cars collided. The ambulances of the CIS of Esch-sur-Alzette, Schifflange and Luxembourg, as well as the CIS of Mondercange and Schifflange, and finally a branch of the Samu of Luxembourg, intervened on the scene.
Two other bikers who fell from their motorcycle were injured, one up to Bettendorf, the other between Savelborn and Ermsdorf.
