Charles Leclerc did not start the Sprint F1 at the Miami Grand Prix, after an accident in the recognition and grid tour. The Ferrari driver thinks that the Scuderia should not have sent it to intermediate tires in a pouring rain, but it endorses all the responsibility of the crash and its consequences.

“It is very frustrating but in the end I can only blame myself. It is quite clear that the choice to go by intermediaries in these conditions was not the best, but it is not an excuse. The way I lose it is quite sad” Smiles Leclerc, not without a little resignation.

“It’s in a straight line, I was not even thoroughly, I was just waiting to arrive at the next turn. I couldn’t do anything, I completely lost control of the car. I tried to turn but nothing happened, I tried to brake but nothing was happening. I tried everything but nothing worked.”

Now, the Monegasque wants to forget this disappointment and focus on the rest of the weekend. Ferrari has until 10:15 p.m. to repair his car if he wants to participate in the Q1 entirely, and he could try to save a poorly launched weekend.

“It hurts but I cannot stay too long on this disillusionment, we will concentrate because in two hours there are the qualifications. I hope that I will be there and that we will have enough time to repair the car, but if this will be a good opportunity to go back in a good foot in a weekend that has not started well.”
