Barely drafted by the Giants, Abdul Carter already knows his first setback. While the rookie numbers of the 2025 class gradually start to be revealed, one of the stars of this promotion still does not know its own. And for good reason: he evolves at a position where one of his predecessors saw his jersey withdrawn.

A case recalls that of Malik Nabers among the Giants. The receiver had obtained authorization from the family of Ray Flaherty (former player and coach) to wear the number 1 just before the start of the season.
