After barely having time to put on a towel around the neck to avoid getting cold, Fortunato answered questions from our colleagues fromEurosport : “I am happy. In the final I was tired but I was able to recover a little behind Carlos Rodriguez. At the end I miss the leader jersey for 2 seconds“said the Italian before having a little joke:”It does not matter, tomorrow (Sunday) I can win the time trial.“
In a more serious tone he projected himself on what awaits him on Sunday, an event he does not particularly like: “On the prologue I finished last (ndrl 134th out of 138 in reality). But the final trial is different. For me the important thing will be to finish in the top 10 in the final general classification because the time trial is not my specialty. I will do my best and we’ll see.”
