The general classification therefore switched to the afternoon online half-stage during the price of the city of Aubenas, on the Ardèche U19 arrow. While generally, the winner of the chrono in the coast of Sampzon manages to hold in the afternoon on a favorable stage in a sprint in a small peloton, Louka Didier has folded the Colombian Kevin Andres Estupinan and the Inca Team by leaving with two other runners in the last ten kilometers. “This morning, I was aiming for why not win and take the head of the general. I was 4th in the time of the leader from the leader so I knew it was not over for the general, it was still playable”reported J2 to Directivehot.
A perfect agreement with his two acolytes
“It is rose strong in the GPM, it worked well with everyone’s organizations, but the decision was not made there. It was behind, in the ascents that we did everything with Timéo (Gantois) of Etupes, it made some breaks”. A group of about fifteen stands out. At first, the leader of the event is present, but not his first two pursuers. “I wanted it to roll because there was only the Colombian, it was an opportunity to get back on the podium”resumes Louka Didier. The Cycling Project Team Gedzilla.com member finally sees the package entering. “At that time, I told myself that it was over, that I was not going to have anything to play, except maybe a place on the stage”.
Not completely discouraged, however, the Vosgien de Gérardmer leaves eight kilometers from the usual finish line of Aubenas, with Tony Billet (EC Saint-Etienne Loire) and the Benjamin of the event, Jules Martin (VC Villefranche Beaujolais). “We quickly dug the gap and I understood at three terminals from the arrival that it was going to do it. I gave everything to ensure the general. I told them that I was not going to play the stage victory and that it had to drive to the end. I gave everything”. A paid strategy since the trio has finally kept a substantial advance until the end on an imposing peloton (see classification).
Ambitious on mountain races
Already a step winner on the road to Eole at the end of March, Louka Didier made a very good start to the season which allows him to take place in the top 10 of the DV challenge (see here). “I won the first step there but I lost the general on the afternoon time, I was a little disappointed. Winning the general this time is great”rejoices the 17 -year -old athlete, who feels progressing. “Last year, it was an acclimatization season with the juniors, even if I still managed to do some good results”recalls the one who had ranked 3rd in the classic Bourbons. “I know that we must perform this year in D2 this year if I want to hope to be detected”.
Louka Didier is brand new in the world of cycling, he who started in cadets 2, there are only two seasons of this. “I have a nice margin of progression. I started the winter prep much earlier than last year. I arrived much better at the start of the season, with more endurance and cash than 2024. This is what allows me to play in front of these first races in federal”he analyzes before continuing with Chrono 47 and the Tour of Carmausin Ségala. Its main objectives, three in number, are more distant. “I aim for Beaujolais, Lake Geneva and especially the classic of the Alps, as I am rather a climber”.
