Shocked, the socialists point to anti -Semitism behind the May 1 assault
Attacked because “socialists” but also because “Jews”: shocked by the taking of some of their activists, including deputy Jérôme Guedj, during the Parisian demonstration of May 1, several leaders of the PS pointed to anti-Semitism on Friday as one of the causes of the incidents. The number two of the PS Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol denounced “hoarse cowards Blessedly physically assaulted activists and socialist elected officials, one because they are socialist, and two, because some of them are Jews “. The incidents occurred on the stand installed by the party. Demonstrators dressed in black, some wearing anti -fas flags, have grown greatly elected officials and activists. The Ministry of the Interior reported four light injuries among the socialists. For ten years, and especially during demonstrations against the 2016 Labor Law, the socialists are used to hearing “everyone hates the PS” chanted by the far left in the demonstrations. But there, “there were mortar fire. We have friends who found themselves in the emergency room. Mayer-Rossignol. The PS filed a complaint, and according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, a person was placed in police custody after the acts committed (mortar fire, degradations and violence). And several socialists have also heard insults with anti -Semitic hints. “Activists who claim to be the left, the extreme left (….) began to insult us of +dirty Zionists +, of +genocidaires +, of +traitors +,” said MEP Emma Rafowicz. The deputy Jérôme Guedj, Jewish like Mrs. Rafowicz, had Islamophobia organized following the murder of a faithful in a mosque in the Gard. “All this is coherent with the detestation they have at the place of the socialists and in my singular place”, declared Mr. Guedj for whom “this stinks of anti-Semitism” .- The apologies of mower -So that the controversies on anti-Semitism on the left are generally caused by LFI (positioning after October 7, Hanouna, etc.) sown the disturbance Thursday evening by suggesting that Jérome Guedj had a slightly provocative behavior when he came to the demonstrations. She made her mea culpa on Friday morning, explaining that she was ill -informed of the incidents. “Jérôme Guedj as all the socialists and demonstrators, must be able to do it (demonstrate) in serenity (…) As for whether there is an anti-Semitism of the far left, the answer is yes,” she said, by apologizing. Pleasters of the left have given their support to Mr. Guedj. “You have to be clear, I support Jérôme Guedj,” said Clémentine Autain on RTL. “There are acts of anti -Semitism in France, I condemn them all without reservation including the violence which can be subject to Jérôme Guedj,” added Lucie Castets on France Info. But the rebellious, accused by Mr. Mayer-Rossignol to maintain a “climate” by “their strategy of fracturing and brutalization of the debate”, were satisfied with the minimum service on Jérôme Guedj which is radically opposed to them. “Thank you to the media for stopping to impute any action against such or such in the Parisian demonstrations,” had simply reacted the coordinator of LFI Manuel Bompard to incidents by stressing that “we do not agree with the fact that we are solving political disagreements like that” (by violence). Even within the PS, the climate is tense. Jérôme Guedj, who is in the opponent’s camp to Olivier Faure and behind Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol for the next congress, attacked X at the first secretary who did not have “a call neither yesterday nor since Sunday for the spokesperson for the PS that I am” .Far/HR/RHL
