Speaking on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, the singer called this frightening resemblance.

He also pointed out that the loss of Ifeanyi in 2022 was one of the darkest moments of his life.

After Ifeanyi’s tragic drowning in November 2022, Davido and Chioma went through a period of silence, secretly marrying.

Almost a year later, more precisely in October 2023, they welcomed twins.

And the boy looks like my son who died. It’s frightening. It is literally him. We said to ourselves: No, it’s him. He returned”Said Davido.

Today again father, the artist reflects on how pain has shaped him: “Return from this experience and have the chance to have twins from the start … it proves that God is real”.

Experience, he says, has changed his way of presenting himself to others: more empathetic, more anchored and more inspired to be a light through music and life.
