At least 11 people, including two children were injured in a Russian drone attack on kyiv overnight on Saturday to Sunday, report the military and civil authorities in the Ukrainian capital.
Falls of drone debris slaughtered by air defense have sparked fires in several housing buildings, said the city’s military administration chief Timour Tkatchenko, on social networks.
69 drones destroyed by the Ukrainian army
The Ukrainian army said it had destroyed 69 drones out of a total of 165 drawn from Ukraine during the night by Russia, 80 others having been diverted from their trajectory.
Russia said it had shot 13 Ukrainian drones targeting the Rostov, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Monday a three -day truce from May 8 to 10 for the 80th anniversary of the end of the “Great Patriotic War” Alongside the Allies against Nazi Germany in 1945.
Ukraine responded by renewing its proposal for a thirty-day ceasefire.
