The price of the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor is flowering with the 200 € bar. He is currently under 229 € at Amazon. We are therefore almost 80 € less than its initial price after its launch. And if you like sport, you can still scrape a few euros by looking for a tray version (or tray) which is actually the same processor but without its box. A packaging generally reserved for assemblers who receive processors by lot. In this case, obviously the processor is strictly identical even if its level of warranty is less.
In a view to mounting a cheap and generally scalable PC, the Ryzen 5 9600X of AMD is one of the cheapest Zen 5 processors in the 9000 series. By associating it for example with a motherboard in the 600 series, you can save a few tickets while having a competitive base. In our mini file “A PC Gaming for 1000 €” you can find the rest of the elements to associate to have a homogeneous machine.
During our complete 9600x and 9700x test, we considered the first to be a solid alternative in front of the Intel 14600K for example. With this price drop, this is obviously even more the case. For “single-thread” tasks, the 9600X equals the i5-14600k of Intel. In “multi-thread”, progress against the former Ryzen 5,7600x is there but remain limited.
It is therefore a budgetary arbitration that can guide you to this Ryzen 9600X in comparison with the Intel 14eme Gen solution. Keeping in mind that the AMD AM5 platform will be able to accompany you for a while … which is not (yet that), the case of the Socket 1700 at Intel.
