DIRECT. War in Ukraine: Russia accuses Zelensky of uttering a “direct threat” against the security of May 9 celebrations

The three -day announced truce aims to “test the arrangement” from kyiv to peace, says the Kremlin
The Kremlin said on Saturday that the three-day truce proposed by Moscow from May 8 to 10 aimed to “test the disposition” of kyiv to make peace, Ukraine declaring for his part that it was a cease-fire too short for serious negotiations. “The objective of the Easter break proposed by Russia (in April, note), as well as the current initiative to declare a truce during the celebrations of May 8, 9 and 10, is to test the disposition of kyiv to find a path for long-term lasting peace,” said spokesperson for the Russian presidency, Dmitri Peskov.
