A week after a disappointing setback in Palois lands, FC Metz found the Saint-Symphorien stadium this Friday evening. On the occasion of the last meeting of the regular season at home, more than 25,000 people came to garnish the Messines spans. Proof once again that all the garnet people will indeed be there for our protégés until the final outcome of this breathtaking season!
Faced with the Ruthenian formation, Stéphane Le Mignan decided to do without his top scorer Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly and therefore aligned Ibou Sané alongside Idrissa Gueye and Papa Amadou Diallo. Although timid at the start of the game, our grenats were the first to take action. At the entrance to the surface, Koffi Kouao heated the gloves of Mory Diaw (13 °).
The southerners were not long in reacting and Arnaud Bodart was lying perfectly on the attempt of Alexis Trouillet (24 °). A few minutes later, Timothé Nkada collapsed in the surface and the RAF obtained a penalty (generous?). The fact remains that Arnaud Bodart had to work once again to capture the shot of the top Ruthenian scorer (34 °).
Shortly before the break, our training obtained the best opportunity of the game. Ideally served by Gauthier Hein, Matthieu Udol could not catch the frame (44 °). On the return from the locker room, the match took a crazy turn a few moments after the hour of play.
At first, Koffi Kouao appeared alone against Mory Diaw. The latter relaxed all his long to push the ball at the end of the foot (64 °). In continuity of this action, the RAF was on the other hand and Timothe Nkada lit Arnaud Bodart helpless (0-1, 64 °).
In the mind, our training found the resources necessary to relaunch the suspense when Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly obtained in turn a penalty that Gauthier eh transformed without blinking (1-1, 68 °). This goal was to give a second to the protégés of Stéphane Le Mignan since the opportunities were linked in a few minutes.
In the ideal position, Gauthier eh lost his duel with Mory Diaw Imperial (71 °) then Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly did not manage to convert the offering of Koffi Kouao (72 °). And what was to happen happened. Following a new counter-conducted, Rodez again took the lead on a head of Tawfik Bentayeb (1-2, 73 °).
Worse, Rodez even managed to accentuate the gap on a clear strike from Ibrahima Baldé (1-3, 80 °). Not killed, however, our Grenats quickly returned to the game thanks to a new penalty, transformed by Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly (2-3, 83 °).
This evening was completely crazy and the Messins finally managed to return to the score. In a small perimeter in the heart of the surface, Morgan Bokele found Ablie Jallow who was not embarrassed to deceive Mory Diaw (3-3, 88 °). In an atmosphere of the big evenings, FC Metz then pushed to take the lead.
It will be nothing, but tonight, FC Metz has indeed shown that they had heart and character and that it would be necessary to count on it until the end of the season! The Messins will still have to fight battle in the play-offs, with an appointment set on May 17 in Saint-Symphorien!
