The oil company and gas Hunt Oil Company has founded a new entity in Morocco, dedicated to the exploration of underground energy resources. Called Hunt Oil Company Morocco, this company adopts the legal form of a limited liability company with single partner (SARL AU) and bears the 287524 registration number in the Rabat Trade Register.
Hunt Oil Company Morocco, is administered by a single manager, an American national representing the parent company, whose mandate is indefinite, has an initial social capital of 100,000 dirhams, divided into a thousand shares of 100 dirhams each. Its head office is located at 27, avenue Tansift, Rabat.
According to the media, the corporate object of the company is defined in a broad manner: ” The realization of all study, prospecting, exploration and exploitation of natural resources, in particular liquid and gas hydrocarbons. The company may also carry out all transport, storage, processing, purchase, sale and marketing operations of petroleum and derivatives. It may also exercise engineering, drilling, geophysical, geological or seismic study activities, as well as all technical, logistical or industrial services relating directly or indirectly to this object ».

The text also specifies that the company may, at all latitude, acquire, cede, exploit or enhance exploration or research permits, whether in the main or intermediary, provider or agent.
As a reminder, the American family company Hunt Oil Company, founded in 1934 in Dallas, Texas, is one of the largest private oil companies in the United States. Active both on the national and international market, it has already collaborated with the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (Onhym) as part of Tadla and High Atlas recognition authorizations.
In November 2019, an oil agreement was also signed between Onhym and Hunt Oil Company for the offshore zone “Mogador offshore”, located off Essaouira. In addition, the company obtained from the Ministry of Energy Transition an extension of two years for this offshore license, whose validity is now extended until January 3, 2027. With an area of 7,050.8 km², this license had been initially granted for five years from January 3, 2020.
