The New York Knicks won their ticket for the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference, thanks to their 113-116 victory in Detroit. To the west, the Clippers beat Denver 111-105, and there will therefore be a match 7, Saturday in Colorado.
Third conference semi-final in a row for the New York Knicks! After Miami in 2023 (4-2 defeat) and Indiana in 2024 (4-3 defeat), the New York franchise will challenge the reigning champion, Boston, after his qualification Thursday on the Detroit prosecutor’s office. The Knicks, third of the regular season, led 3-2 against the pistons, sixth, and they went to win 113-116 in Michigan to win their ticket for the next round. New York experienced ups and downs in this match 6, but was able to count on a huge Jalen Brunson, author of 40 points, at 15 out of 33 on shots, and decisive at the end of the match. The men of Tom Thibodeau started well and counted 15 points ahead of the second quarter, then the pistons returned and passed in front of the locker room. But New York resumed 13 points in the middle of the third quarter. At 9’30 from the end, the Knicks still led 89-101 and thought it might quietly move towards victory, but Detroit woke up and signed a 23-4 in seven minutes (112-105)! However, New York did not collapse and reacted by signing a 6-0. 36 seconds from the buzzer, the scoring was 113-113 and Brunson gave the Knicks victory on a 3-point shot, five seconds from the end. So here they are in half, where a huge challenge awaits them against the Celtics, with a match 1 on Monday at TD Garden. As for the cunningham cade pistons (23pts, 7RBDS, 8pds), they are on vacation, but this season was very promising!

If in the east, the best teams of the regular season are already in half, in the west, there is still a current series! There will indeed be a match 7 Saturday in Denver between the Nuggets and the Clippers. The Californians, at the foot of the wall, have indeed imposed themselves 111-105 in their intuit Dome, and therefore remain alive. Denver, with a 25-point Nikola Jokic, 7 rebounds and 8 assists, held up to half-time (58-57), but then never led to the score. The Clippers accelerated to win the third quarter (in which Jokic remained eleven minutes without scoring!) 32-22 and then perfectly managed their lead. Kawhi Leonard (27pts, 10RBDS, 5PDS), James Harden (28pts, 8pds) and Norman Powell (24pts) worn the Clippers, also well helped by a versatile Nicolas Batum, with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 interceptions and 3 counters in 34 minutes. Everything will therefore be played on Saturday in a match 7. This had already been the case in 2020 in the Orlando bubble, and the Nuggets had qualified.
