“Astérix & Obelix: the fight of the chiefs”, miniseries (Netflix)

Alain Chabat finds the irreducible Gauls and adapts a BD of 1966, by injecting very current issues. A clever scenario and splendid drawings make it a very friendly miniseries.

“Project UFO”, season 1 (Netflix)

Extraterrestrials that land on the Russian-Polish border, a Moribonde communist dictatorship and a TV presenter obsessed with glory … The combo of a miniserie who mixes serious and absurd with jubilation.

“Sam”, season 8 (TF1+)

A family comedy that looks like politics? Incredible but true on TF1. And yet, season 8 of Sam denounces with impertinence a commercial vision of national education …

“Ramy”, season 3 (arte.tv)

The last season of the brilliant comedy orchestrated by the stand-up Ramy Youssef finally arrives on a free platform in France. A darker final, between incorrect laughter and despair.

“Lent”, miniseries (Apple TV+)

Benjamin Voisin interprets Marie-Antoine Carême, head of the 18th century, inventor of the Vol-au-Vent and the cook’s toque, in this series produced by Apple TV+, which links the clichés and flies up the historical context.

“I know your soul”, saison 1 (Arte.tv)

In Sarajevo, a prosecutor investigates the suicide of a teenager. A series with a rather subtle scenario but to the weak staging.

“Malditos”, season 1 (max)

For his first series, Jean-Charles Hue is struggling to find the energy of his films and drowns his family tragedy under a clumsily interpreted sloping.

“The four seasons”, miniseries (Netflix)

The new series co -waged and interpreted by Tina Fey confirms that holidays with friends are never easy. And that the life of a couple either, in this very successful quinquas of quinquas.

“n00b”, saison 1 (Hello, Canal+)

In 2005, in a small Australian town, Nikau, the handsome kid from the school and captain of his rugby team, was “eighty” when his “friends” find a gay fan fiction on his computer. His life changes, he must face homophobia while he is still looking for himself.
Didactics on the question of sexuality, this series passes for an edgy version of Sex Education. Not so much for what is represented there (if the game of the rugby manhole does what is undoubtedly one of its first audiovisual appearances, there is almost no sex) but for the violence it denounces and its intransigence, obviously welcome, to intolerance -Augustin Pietron-Locatelli
