James Harden Makes His Opinion of Nikola Jokic Crystal Clear

-

James Harden knew full well what he needed to do on Thursday night as the Los Angeles Clippers faced elimination in Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets.

Harden went off for a game-high 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals, a block and three triples in 47 minutes of action as he led L.A. to a series-saving 111-105 win.

Thanks in large part to Harden’s heroics, this series is now tied, 3-3, with Game 7 in Denver scheduled for Saturday.

Harden was asked all sorts of questions during his post-game press conference, with most of the queries centered on his incredible performance. At one point, however, Harden could not help but give Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic his flowers.

“Jokic is just special,” Harden said, via Clippers reporter Farbod Esnaashari. “He can score the basketball, but he’s much deadlier when he’s getting everyone else involved.”

Jokic excelled on both fronts on Thursday night, as the three-time NBA Most Valuable Player winner registered 25 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals, a block and two three-pointers.

It still wasn’t enough, though, as the Nuggets suffered a tough loss on the road.

Jokic and Co. get a major advantage in Game 7, as they host the Clippers at Ball Arena for that do-or-die matchup. There is no doubt, however, that Harden and the Clippers will head into that clash with every intention of upsetting the Nuggets on their home floor in order to book their spot in the next round.
