The event, for which the local authorities allocated a budget of 35 million francs – approved by referendum – will be held at St. Jakobshalle, in the district of Münchenstein, on the outskirts of Basel.

The organizers promise a grand spectacle, unprecedented in Switzerland.

In order to facilitate the movements of spectators, the Swiss National Railway Company (CFF) will put 85 additional trains into circulation to ensure journeys to and from Basel during the Eurovision concerts.
