Overwhelmed on track, the Sprint of the Miami Grand Prix did not see its results quickly endowed. Once the finish line has been crossed, the sports commissioners had work and looked at several surveys and concerning pilots who arrived in the points, in the first eight places.
The first to have been punished is Oliver Bearman, who finished eighth on the line. The Haas pilot was in the viewfinder for a stand at the stand that went wrong and a suspicion of Unsafe Release having embarrassed Nico Hülkenberg. This is confirmed by the commissioners, who inflicted on the British and his stable a penalty of five seconds.
He is the second to be penalized for this reason, after Max Verstappen and Red Bull during the event, the Dutchman having received 10 seconds given the hanging with Kimi Antonelli. The race having ended under security car regime, Oliver Bearman logically loses several positions after application of this penalty.
Fourth of the sprint, Alexander Albon was also under an investigation, so as not to have respected the minimum time set under security car diet. Despite attenuating circumstances linked to track conditions, the commissioners estimated that a 5 -second penalty won, leaving driver Williams from the points.

“I have the feeling of having done it, then I was packed outwards. At that time, frankly, I was straight towards the wall and I was trying to get out of it, but it simply left me no space. Obviously, it was not my intention, but I really think that I had my wheels in front.”
The New Zealander, who had concluded this sprint in a good seventh place, also leaves the point area since he received 5 seconds of penalty.
These three sanctions upset the result of the sprint and benefit George Russell and launches Stroll, but also to Yuki Tsunoda, Kimi Antonelli and Pierre Gasly, who finally enter the points.
Note that Charles Leclerc has received a reprimand for trying to continue piloting his Ferrari before giving it up, in the wake of his accident in the recognition tower.
