Asterix and Obelix against César: Have you noticed this big error at 2 minutes and 21 seconds from the film? – Actus cinema

-

Broadcast this evening on TF1, “Asterix and Obelix against Caesar” begins with an error that only the most attentive spectators could have noticed.

Like the American blockbusters with Gladiator Type costumes or Pirates of the Caribbean who necessarily let a few small mistakes on the screen (as we have often testified to our friends Michel and Michel), the big French productions are also likely to provide us with one or two false fittings.

In the first scene of the film …

This is how in Asterix and Obelix against César, the first adaptation of the famous comic strip in real shots made by Claude Zidi in the late 90s, the most attentive spectators could have noted a fairly curious detail at the start of the feature film.

Released this evening on TF1, the film traces the adventures of the famous little Gauls and the many attempts of the Romans to subjugate the irreducible village which still resists the invader. The feature film therefore opens with Armorican cliffs, where Caesar horses and its most important officers are majestically galloping.

Note, moreover, if you do not know the film well, that music with Celtic tones that can be heard at that time (as well as several other times) was composed by none other than … Jean-Jacques Goldman.

… take a break at 2 minutes and 21 seconds!

Take your ear well, therefore. But above all, open the eye! And especially 2 minutes and 21 seconds from the film. On this magnificent overall plan, we are obviously tempted to admire the panorama, but it is on the grass grass of the cliff that you are recommended to pay your attention (see above).

A simple wink will be enough to identify a major anachronism: between horses, we can actually note the presence of brands which have necessarily been left by the tires of several vehicles. Without doubt the trucks of the tracking or filming team, which therefore did not think of erasing their traces.

Have you spotted other errors of this type in Claude Zidi’s film?
