The title of defender of the year promised to Draymond Green?

The end of the regular NBA season is approaching. This means that individual awards will soon be awarded. Among them, the prestigious defender title of the year. This season, a man seems to be coming off: Draymond Green.

But beware of his pursuers, who may well intercept the award in the last moments.

While there are only a few games left before the playoffs, Draymond Green is a favorite. Fox Sports revealed that the Warriors player was ahead of Evan Mobley and Luguentz Dort according to the bookmakers.

Then follow Dyson Daniels, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. This season, Green displays averages of 6.1 rebounds, 1 against and 1.4 interception per match. Recently, two new names regularly return to discussions and add to the list already cited.

First there is Ivica Zubac, author of 12.5 rebounds, 1.2 against and 0.7 interception on average. And then Amen Thompson. The Rockets player runs at 8.2 rebounds, 1.3 against and 1.4 interception. The latter has just delivered a boss performance facing … the Warriors.
