Assouline, to the Majorelle | The Marrakech platform

PReview in Morocco and second in Africa, the famous publishing house of Luxury Assouline has chosen the Majorelle district to celebrate Moroccan culture, offering art lovers and beautiful works a setting worthy of the heritage richness of the ocher city.

Opened in August 2024, the Sétouline store in Marrakech symbolizes a homecoming for this world reference of the art book. Founded by Prosper Assouline, born in Morocco, and his wife Martine, this Marrakchie franchise represents a tribute to the native land of the founder.

The store, located strategically in an emblematic district of Marrakech, at the corner of rue Ali Al Madina and rue Houdoud, near the Yves Saint Laurent museum, is nestled in the modern Roset line building. The space celebrates the local design and the Moroccan heritage, perfectly combining the unique style of a conjunction with the very essence of Marrakech. Its facade with pink, beige and terracotta tones echoes the ancestral ramparts of the medina, while the interior marries the characteristic red wall of assembly with carefully selected Moroccan materials and craftsmen. The publishing house, born in 1994 with “La Colombe d’or”, pays homage to Morocco today through several flagship works: “Kingdom of Morocco” which explores the treasures of the kingdom, “Marrakech Flair” which captures the vibrant essence of the millennial city, or even creations celebrating the talent of the Moroccan calligraph Mehdi Qotbi. These works, among the 1700 catalog titles, constitute real cultural embassies of Morocco internationally. Also presenting the famous Travel Series, the Classics and Ultimate Collections, as well as the scented candles of the brand, this new luxury book in the luxury book testifies to the growing cultural attractiveness of Marrakech on the international scene.
